About Me

I’m E.T. Satterfield, and this is the blog of a bookaholic, a man hopelessly enamored with words be they etched into the page in graphite, pounded into the fibers in ink, or rendered on a screen by means of 1s and 0s. I believe in the power of words to move and break and shape and shift and alter and transport and delight.

I also believe that there is great value in sharing these experiences with others that they might slip into them too, which is why I’ve started this blog. It is intended to offer the wandering reader a shot of delectably brief commonplaces, a reservoir of book reviews, and an outlet for my musings on life, literature, theology, and beyond. If all goes according to plan, there will also be a smattering of miscellany that will range from board game reporting to film reviews to restaurant ravings and everything in between.

In addition to being a bookaholic, I’m also a graduate of Bethlehem College and Seminary from which I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in History of Ideas. Originally from Georgia, I now live in Minnesota with my wife and a passel of manual and electric typewriters and aspire to one day see the stories running about in my head writ large on the printed page.
